Hi, people. Back again with me, cutie Valen. Anyway, I have finished uploading some videos. Those videos are about Animal Friends Jogja. AFJ is one of the communities in Jogja that has the aims to protect animals and also to give education for people about how to take a better care of animals, so on and so forth. AFJ started in 2010 and have been developing so much since that day. Lots of volunteers have come and joined it.
We (Julius, Ejhon, and me) decided to make a video profile about AFJ for our mid-term project for the Public Relations class. In fact, we weren't the only group that chose this community. There were also Juan, Denny, and Aan who joined us. Then, we decided to do this project together, but we wouldn't make the same video because our lecturer didn't let us to.
At first, it we sent couple of emails to AFJ and they need days to replied it because they were too busy and lack of time. Those volunteers in AFJ mostly are college students too, workers, and lots more. After that, we needed to fill some permission papers for it. After some times, we decided to take the video on Sunday (2 weeks ago if I'm not mistaken). On the day, before we went to AFJ's place, we bought some food animals at a pet shop. We were confused which one was good, then we just bought it. It took almost 35-40 minutes to get to the place because we didn't know where it was and people around that place were also confused. We finally went to the police station and found the right way.
At the first thought, we thought that AFJ's place was very calm and lots of cute animals right there. There were dogs, cats, and also some monkeys. There were many kinds of them and they got their own characteristics which made them looked so unique and cute. The volunteers in AFJ were very nice and friendly too. That place was very cozy and wonderful.
We took some videos and pictures of it, we also talked with some of the volunteers. After some times, our special informant finally came. She has been volunteering with AFJ for almost 3 years. Her name is Taarna. We took our interview video and also took pictures together. It was very fun and interesting because we found out some facts about AFJ that mostly we didn't know about it at the first time. We were very glad that everything went well.
This is us with our special informant
It took almost 2 days for me to finish the whole video because I was quite confused how to do it nicely. AFJ gave us amazing opportunities and my friends and I wanted to give them something special too. We really had a lot of unique experiences with the animals, the volunteers, and of course with Animal Friends Jogja (AFJ). We also want to say lots of thanks to Juan, Denny, and Aan because they helped us a lot to take the video (we used their camera). I have uploaded the video on YouTube, my channel. But, because you guys are right here , you can just click and watch the video below.
